TERMS & CONDITIONS
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BOOKING CONDITIONS CAREFULLY WHICH OUTLINE OUR OBLIGATIONS TO YOU, AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES TO US.
These terms and conditions are the entire agreement between you and Healthy Before Fit Retreats. These terms and conditions are governed by Queensland, Australia law and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland, Australia in respect of any dispute or proceeding.
HOW TO BOOK
You can book your spot only via our online booking form here.
After completing the online attendee information and booking form (as above) we will contact you directly via email to secure a deposit of $500 per person (or full amount) to hold your spot . This amount is non-refundable (unless there is not enough participants for the retreat). HBFR runs with a minimum of 5 participants. If the number is not reached, the $500 deposit will be refunded.
Upon receipt of your booking, you will need to pay your deposit or full payment within 7 days. By paying a deposit or full payment you agree that you have read, understood and will be bound by these terms & conditions.
Payment plans are available, please let us know.
The balance of the fare must be received by Healthy Before Fit Retreats no later than 45 days prior the event . If the balance of monies is not paid by this date, cancellation may occur with all monies paid forfeited.
If you cancel your reservation, the following charges will apply:
For cancellations received after a deposit has been paid and 60 days prior, a charge of $500 per person (loss of deposit)
For cancellations received 45 days prior retreat a 50% cancellation fee will apply, in addition to the non-refundable deposit.
For cancellations received 30 days prior retreat a 100% cancellation fee will apply.
If your cancellation has a legitimate reason you may be entitled to a refund (loss of deposit applies).
The prices stated are valid from 1st January to 1st of April 2019. Fares are “per person” & quoted in AUD throughout the brochure and website. They are inclusive of GST where applicable. Fares must be paid in full prior retreat. Healthy Before Fit Retreats reserves the right to amend prices at any time. All charges are subject to change; therefore the package price may vary between time of deposit and time of final payment.
The entire cost of this business retreat is fully tax deductible, but as we cannot give you tax advice you should check with your accountant.

Meals as specified in our itineraries (breakfast, lunch and dinner daily while in Byron Bay).
Access to wellness/fitness sessions that are identified as part of the retreat
WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED IN OUR PRICES
Personally incurred expenses such as souvenirs, telephone, email, laundry charges, optional activities and items of a personal nature (e.g. drinks).
Meals or accommodation whilst traveling to/from your home port.
Air fares + any travel cost incurred to/from your home destination.
Travel Visa’s (where required)
Healthy Before Fit Retreats has made every endeavour with the production of its brochure and website (www.healthybeforefitretreats.com) to ensure that the information is correct at the time the brochure was released and the website information uploaded. However prices and services set out on our website are subject to change or withdrawal without notice. You agree that any photograph or image taken of you during your event with Healthy Before Fit Retreats may be used by Healthy Before Fit Retreats for promotional purposes or in our brochure or on our website without any further consent or payment.
CHANGES IN ITINERARY
Healthy Before Fit Retreats reserves the right to make changes to an itinerary if circumstances beyond our control makes it necessary, including weather and cultural conditions.
PRE AND POST TOUR TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION
Healthy Before Fit Retreats is not responsible for your travel arrangements and costs incurred in getting to the point of commencement of the trip, or from the point of conclusion of the trip (unless stated otherwise in the booking inclusions). All bookings with these carriers, hoteliers or other service providers are subject to their terms and conditions and limitations of liability imposed.
HEALTH, FITNESS & MEDICAL
You should be of reasonable health and fitness and carry all required medication. You must inform Healthy Before Fit Retreats of any pre-existing medical conditions, including mental illness prior to travel. Healthy Before Fit Retreats will keep this information confidential. We may request a doctor’s certificate certifying fitness to travel.
MATTERS OF DISPUTE
In the unlikely event of any dissatisfaction with the accommodation or any other service provided by Healthy Before Fit Retreats, you must report it immediately to Healthy Before Fit Retreats so action can be taken to remedy the problem. Failure to notify Healthy Before Fit Retreats immediately may result in your ability to claim compensation from them being extinguished or reduced. Any complaint made to us after the retreat should be made in writing within 28 days of retreat completion. Should the complaint not be made in writing within this time, Healthy Before Fit Retreats may refuse to investigate or offer any form of compensation. This will be at the sole discretion of Healthy Before Fit Retreats and our 3rd party suppliers/operators.
CODE OF CONDUCT
The success and enjoyment of your trip depends on you and others behaving in an appropriate and responsible manner. It is a condition that your conduct is compatible with the well being and general enjoyment of others on your trip. You agree to accept the authority of Healthy Before Fit Retreats team and comply with their authority and their directions. Healthy Before Fit Retreats has a zero tolerance to illegal drug use and possession, threatening or abusive behaviour, both physical and verbal, and property vandalism. If, in the absolute opinion of Healthy Before Fit Retreats team your behaviour breaches this code of conduct then Healthy Before Fit Retreats will remove you from the trip. If this occurs you will be responsible for your own return transport costs and you will not be entitled to any refund for the unused portion of your trip. You also agree that you will have no claim against Healthy Before Fit Retreats or the resort.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
The responsibility of Healthy Before Fit Retreats and/or their agents is limited. Healthy Before Fit Retreats acts as a retreat operating company and is not a carriers, hoteliers, or provider of other services such as sightseeing tours and adventure activities. All bookings are subject to the terms and conditions and limitations of liability imposed by those carriers, hoteliers and service providers. Those terms and conditions may limit or exclude liability for death, personal injury, delay and loss or damage of baggage. Healthy Before Fit Retreats will not be liable for any death, personal injury delay, damage, loss, accident or additional expenses or inconvenience which may be occasioned either by reason of any defect in any resort/ vessel/vehicle, or caused through the default or negligence of any company or person engaged in conveying you or in carrying out the arrangements in connection with your trip.
Force Majeure: Healthy Before Fit Retreats will not be liable to you in the event your trip is disrupted or terminated by reason of an unforeseeable event such as cyclone or other adverse weather condition, military coup, political action or civil war or acts of terrorism. Your trip will include activities such as swimming, surfing, exercising or hiking. You accept that these activities and others of a similar nature may involve varying degrees of risk and you take part at your own risk. You accept that Healthy Before Fit Retreats is not responsible for any personal injury or death sustained in these activities or others undertaken whilst on your trip.
Nothing in these terms and conditions shall be read as excluding, restricting or modifying your rights given to you under legislation in relation to the supply of goods and services including the Consumer Guarantees Act. Attendees who purchase an optional service or product do so in direct contract with the provider and rely solely on their own judgment for participation. By completing the booking you warrant that the information contained in the booking is correct.
Healthy Before Fit Retreats stores information about you and your booking so that we can notify you of the retreat, special offers and for the purposes of obtaining your feedback. As an individual (i.e. a natural person), you have rights under the Privacy Act 1993 to access and request the correction of any personal information that we hold about you. If you do not want to receive information from Healthy Before Fit Retreats please contact us on email@example.com.
